Hooked on Quilting

I really need to blog every day, if I sew! I made a pillowcase for the quilts I made here . This one is for the twin for my granddaughter's birthday next week.  I need to make two more for the queen size, but her birthday isn't until March. I started and finished the diaper stacker to go with the nursery. We daubed the project "Fresh" for the line of fabric we used. It goes with the pillow , photo frames , runners  and quilt . For many reasons, these didn't get finished in a timely fashion.  Here's the second block of the Skillbuilder BOM called Magnum. No hand applique is getting done. Need to correct that today!

It's finally done! I squeezed the pillow form inside that small opening! Can't decide on a method of closing it up - hand or machine. Just not sure I want the stitching to show.  Anyway, thoughts? My daughter designed it to match the nursery. She really wanted bright primary colors. Well, only worked on three projects today. It's been four days since I even touched a few of them. Need to get on them!!

It's been a long time since I worked on this project, but now I'm off to do the binding!! Go glad to be motivated to finish these projects.

I'm going to be doing my daughter's nursery with lots of bright colors. She's chosen the "Fresh" line by Moda designed by Deb Strain. Not using all the fabrics, but she isn't finding out the sex of the baby so we wanted to go neutral, yet bright. She's due on November 1, so I have a bit of time, but not much. I found nearly all the fabrics we wanted at The Old Country Store except the blue polka dot fabric. The fabrics cost less than we planned so we were very happy! I ordered them on Thursday and got them on Saturday!!! Great service!!! Very excited, but wanted to wait for that one other fabric before getting started. Will order again from them. I found the blue polka dot at Chickadee Shops and ordered it on Thursday in hopes to get it by Saturday and work on it over the weekend. Well, it didn't come until today, somehow, they missed this order and were very sincere in their apology and sent me a full charm pack of the entire line of Fresh!!!! Wow!!...
