Square in a Square - Finished

This was my project for " Project Quilting " at Persimon Dreams.  It's due today. They have a challenge every other week and this may be more than I'm willing to take on right now. I had to put this ahead of other things in order to complete it in time. We shall see.

Friday Night Progress

I'm actually getting more finished then ever. I think that I can stick with anything for at least 15 minutes!!! So excited... Here's my leaders/enders as I make headway with Easy Street . Actually, I only have 38 of Step 1 (b/w) and 38 of Step 2 (purple, b/w). I'm going to go on to Step 3 so if I need help those that are finished can help me! LOL Always behind. And my pot holder that I did three times. I have got to get a better handle on this project for the next three of them. This took way too long. My Project Quilting Squar e-in-a-Square is coming along nicely. Only two more edges of the binding to sew down. Yahoo!! The deadline is Sunday, hopefully, I can finish tomorrow. It's not terribly attractive, but it used my stash. LOL A Modern Twist is slowly being pieced together. I just realized that I have an outer border that still needs to be attached. Darn!!!  I really needed to get my other Dear Jane block finished as the deadline ...

Liking My New System

I guess I like it, anyway. LOL I just seem to spin my wheels if the timer isn't ticking, so it's been working very well. My issue is that I troll the Internet way too much. I look up and it's been an hour that I've been staring at the screen. Not good. I plan to change it tomorrow and put myself on a diet. Today, I actually did make some progress on a few projects: A Modern Twist is completely in rows, so I just have to sew the rows together. This project has become a leader/ender project, only six more seams!!! I stopped devoting 15 minutes to this project now that it's that close to a flimsy. The tooth fairy pillow is an owl (Baltimore Ravens) and I spent a half hour sewing on the eyes mouth, wings and the pocket on the back. Just need the football and nose, then sew it and stuff it. It's really cute. I tried to work on Easy Street today, but I didn't have enough black/white to make the flying geese, but I tried a bunch of practice methods, but w...

15 Minutes to Done!!!

I spent some time looking for online projects to start...like I need things to add to my list, right? Also, I was trolling for "Get Things Done" motivation. Look what I found: 2013 NewFO Challenge from Barbara of Cat Patches.  Here's what you get to do, you get to start a new project every single month...12 new ones!! The catch is that you don't have to finish them!!!  Join me? Put her button on your side bar. Think about it, 12 new projects!!! Project Quilting from Kim at Persimon Dreams. Ouch!!! This one is a weekly project and you MUST get it done!! I'm so crazy, but it's a great reality type challenge. Any suggestions for a square in a square pattern that's quick and easy? I found this class with Laura Nownes on Craftsy and it's free!!! It's another Block of the Month...with videos!! Another Block of the Month from Pile O'Fabric . It's a skill builder and who doesn't want to improve your skills. 2013 - A Lovely Year ...
