Project Progress - Yippee!

I was able to get a bunch of projects moved forward today. I was able to sew quite a bit today (Saturday).

My February goals are:

1. Pot Holders/Mitts - I cut the fabric for them (TODAY), just have to quilt it and then cut them.
2. Dino's - Cut valances for two windows (TODAY). Each are two fabrics and one appliqued Dino per window. I will go back to the quilt next.
3. Dear Jane - Almost finished two blocks, should finish tomorrow, will post pics then.
4. Baltimore Autumn - I didn't finish Block 1, so I'll probably tackle it again in February.
5. Baltimore Christmas - Didn't finish Block 1, might continue or move on to Block 2. I think Block 1 is the hardest of all of them.
6. Baltimore Halloween - Block 2 here I come!!!
7. Baltimore Liberty - None much was done in January. :(
8. Vintage Valentine - About halfway on this one - Block 1.
9. Country Cottages - Little embroidery left, then will move to Block 2.
10. Nursery stuff - Started a pillow awhile ago, put a ruffle on it (TODAY).
11. Stop Sign - Need to tie off ends and bind. Quilting is done. Have to finish this in February.
12. Spot - Nothing done, so need to get on this one.
13. Black/White Quilt - It's a queen and I quilted some of it and my tension wasn't correct, so I need to rip out a bunch of blocks. My bad.

So, there you have my list for February that I'd love to make even a bit of headway on them.

I signed myself up for a bunch of online things because I felt like I was doing mostly applique, so I wanted to piece some projects. I really wanted to sew at the machine today, so I did!

1. Easy Street - I just trimmed a bunch of Step 3 blocks. The 15 minutes went fast.
2. Sunbonnet Sleuth - Did another eight blocks.
3. Skillbuilder - I cut a bunch of block borders so that I won't have to do it with each block.
4. Susan's Folly - made two blocks today (had two already done and have five more to go)
5. Craftsy BOM - Just had time to choose some fabrics.
6. Our Family is a Hoot - Downloaded the pattern.
7. Heart Bookmarks - Downloaded the pattern.
8. I Love Sewing - Sulky BOM

Here's some pics:

This is the pillow - she wanted primary colors and no ruffle on the pillow.

There's the Susan's Folly blocks. Two of each and very, very scrappy. I'd gotten some scraps from an acquaintance and I'm looking for ways to use them up.

These are the Sunbonnet Sleuth blocks I did today.

Here's the two Dear Jane blocks:

That's probably all I can show you for now, but I really did work quite a bit today. Leftovers for dinner so didn't have to do any real work there.

I'm listing all my projects here so I can refer to them...maybe cross them out or update it when I move the project along. Not saying I'll work on all of these, but I don't want to lose sight of them. Guess I should prioritize them, but, a list is better than nothing. LOL

What's on your list?

Online Quilt Festival - Spring 2009

What a great idea to host an online Quilt Festival ! Thanks to Amy @ Park City Girl! Be sure to stop by and add your favorite quilt! Well, I really want to join in this huge event, so I'm hoping that an almost completed quilt will qualify! I've chosen my Hungry Caterpillar quilt as my favorite because it is my best to date and who doesn't want to show their best? Of course, I have a long way to go, but I'm learning with each and every quilt. This quilt's story goes like this...it was a kit! I'm not ready to chose my own fabrics/colors just yet (may never be!). I got the kit and went to work trying to hit the one-year old granddaughter's birthday (missed it, of course). I simply loved its simplicity since it was panels that I just put together, but it was a good ego boost for this quilting novice, not to mention the practice I'd gotten! So, I loaded on my new HQ16 with the ProStitcher and it sat until I found a digital pattern to go with it. Once again, I

Grow Your Blog Party

THIS GIVEAWAY IS OVER. Next time???? Winner announced here . Welcome to the Grow Your Blog Party that is being hosted by Vicki of 2 Bags Full ! As you can see by the tabs at the top of the page, I became "hooked on quilting" in 2007, but I didn't really complete many quilts...they are still here waiting for their turn! LOL I have found that I'm a process person rather than a product person, which means I just want to cut up fabric, sew it back together in a different manner and I don't really need a finished project, but I plan to turn over a new leaf in 2013 I'm going to dig into all those UFO's and finish them up!  I've also blogged since 2007, but life has gotten in the way over the years so posting has been sporadic, but I am now going to journal about my adventures in quilting. I'd love to share what I've learned about quilting and what I hope to learn and all those quilts that I plan to finish this year!  I've d

Grow Your Blog Party

Welcome to the  Grow Your Blog Party  that is being hosted by Vicki of  2 Bags Full ! Welcome to my blog about how many quilts I've started!!! I sure wish it could be about the ones I've finished!  But then, it's be pretty boring and pretty blank!!!! LOL   I say this every year, I PLAN to finish them all. Planning is easy, executing is difficult.  I really do start way too many quilts, but I had a health scare in 2013, so I'm determined not to leave this mess for my loved ones to clean up and PLAN to finish them all in 2014 (that's a laugh). The tabs at the time share all my started quilts.  Since the demise of Google Reader, I've found a few places that you can "add" me to your list of blogs you visit, they are listed on my right sidebar!  I'd love for you to visit often.  Time to visit  Vicki's blog  and "grow" more blogs!!! p.s. Last year, my giveaway was never claimed...didn't do one this year.
